Sr. Preschool Class

(ages 2.5 - 5yrs)

Sr.Preschool offers a program with a variety of new and exciting activities.  We make changes to our classroom sporadically to offer variety to the children's exploration. We offer a book centre, dramatic play, sensory, math, science and block area.  We also offer a daily circle time where we discuss children's interests, the weather, the day of the week, we sing songs and have surprise activities.  The children have the opportunity to play and explore outside in our spacious playground for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, weather permitting.  When the weather does not permit us to play outdoors, we stay inside and enjoy some gross motor play in our full size school gym.  In Sr.Preschool, the children are encouraged to do things for themselves, such as get dressed for outdoor play and serve themselves at mealtimes.  This helps boost their self-confidence, which is so important at this age.
